EnergySolutions Planning Advanced Nuclear Fabrication Manufacturing Facility in Roane County, Tennessee

EnergySolutions, a major supplier of services to the Nuclear Industry, is expanding its capabilities to support U.S. Nuclear Plant Life Extension and New Plant Construction by establishing an advanced nuclear fabrication and manufacturing facility. These new fabrication and manufacturing offerings will be part of its new Nuclear Services division..
This facility will be housed in an existing 200,000 square foot industrial building, owned by EnergySolutions, located in Roane County, Tennessee. Refurbishment of this facility will begin immediately.

Once the refurbishment is complete, the Roane County facility will use automated production processes to produce high quality nuclear safety related and ASME Section III components including SC Wall structural modules, traditional plant tanks and pressure vessels, process modules, traditional pipe spools and hangers as well as manufactured bulk commodities that can significantly reduce the number of field welds and their associated costs.
The facility location is ideal for shipping via water (to any port in the world) and throughout North American via rail and trucking. The building refurbishment and eventual production efforts will rely heavily on the local employment market.
