EnergySolutions Hires Experienced Decommissioning Executive

Salt Lake City, Utah – May 6, 2019– EnergySolutions, Inc. announced today that Mike Lackey has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Reactor D&D Business Development and Commercial Strategy.

Mike has 35-plus years of nuclear construction, startup, operations and decommissioning experience at commercial reactors and U.S. Department of Energy nuclear facilities.  As General Manager of the Trojan Nuclear Power Plant located in Oregon, Mike managed one of the largest most successful commercial reactor deactivation and decommissioning projects to date.

Prior to joining EnergySolutions, Mike was Vice President of Nuclear Operations for Fluor Corporation’s Power Business Line.

Mike has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and is a registered Professional Engineer.  He was a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) and obtained a SRO instructor certification from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
