EnergySolutions’ Clive Disposal Facility Reaches Major Milestone with 7 Million Hours Working Safely

Salt Lake City, Utah – March 9, 2023 – EnergySolutions announced today a major safety milestone at the Clive Disposal Facility.  The employees surpassed 7-million hours of safe work over the past 19 years and gathered for an all-hands meeting to celebrate this achievement.

The Facility, located in Utah’s west desert is licensed to dispose of Class A low level radioactive waste.  Waste disposed of includes, building debris, contaminated soils, ion exchange resins and large components from government and commercial customers.

The Clive facility has been in operation since 1988 and provides disposal services for both the commercial and government nuclear industry.
