EnergySolutions and COVID-19 Update
Dear valued clients, vendors and associates,
Firstly, we hope you, your loved ones, friends and colleagues are healthy and safe. Our thoughts go out to those who are sick and we wish them a full recovery. We also want to thank the devoted healthcare and essential services workers who are an inspiration to us all during this unprecedented time.
As we navigate through the COVID-19 situation we want to remain in touch and keep you updated about our efforts at EnergySolutions to continue to meet your needs. Our goals are simple; to keep everyone safe and healthy and maintain the best services possible for you during these changing circumstances.
We are regularly communicating updates both internally and externally and have established a COVID-19 website available to our employees, clients and suppliers. The link is: http://www.energysolutions.com/covid19-page/.
CYBER SECURITY TIPS
We are mindful of the many scams that are showing up through your email. Many cyber- security firms, as well as the U.S. Secret Service, have recently put out warnings about an increase in the deceitful social engineering attacks known as phishing. These carefully crafted emails have been masquerading as real companies and information sources using domain names that closely resemble legitimate companies and organizations such as news agencies and health organizations. These tactics are designed to entice you to download information about current topics or to give up personal information such as usernames and passwords. Best practices are to never open files or click on links in emails unless you are certain where they came from. For example, if you get an email saying it is from the CDC with information about COVID-19, do not open the information from the email. Instead, go to the CDC website directly.
KEEP EVERYONE HEALTHY
While all of our offices and facilities remain open, we are practicing social distancing and asking employees that can work remotely to do so. We have shifted all business meetings and events to digital channels, creating a productive and safe team working environment.
KEEP ENERGYSOLUTIONS SERVING YOU
All of us at EnergySolutions continue to be laser-focused on your success. While all businesses are in unchartered territory, EnergySolutions has always been the company organized to deal
with new challenges and rapid change. Our company is built on our core values of Health, Safety and Integrity as a guide for everything we do.
We want to remind you that the actions implemented to minimize our employees’ potential exposure to COVID-19 remain in effect while ensuring we continue to provide the level of services you expect from us. We remain fully functional and available at all of our facilities to assist you with your rad-waste management needs. This includes our Hittman trucking, Cask fleet and MHF Logistics units, which remain fully operational to provide on-going transport. Our Bear Creek and Erwin operations continue to process waste and our Clive and Barnwell facilities are safely receiving and disposing of waste. We continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC (Center for Disease Control), the U.S. State Department and local Departments of Health where our facilities and operations are located.
At all of our facilities and offices we continue to monitor employees. We insist that any employee feeling ill stay home and recover to minimize the spread of any type of illness. We are currently unaware of any employees suffering from COVID-19 and our travel policy remains in full force with essential travel within the country only.
We value your ideas and feedback and if you have thoughts you would like to share please contact your Business Development Representative on their mobile device.
