March 26, 2020
Dear valued clients, vendors and associates,
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact all of our lives at home and work we want you to know that we have implemented actions to minimize our employees’ potential exposure to the virus while ensuring we continue to provide the level of service you expect from us. We remain fully functional and available at all of our facilities and are available to assist you with all of your rad-waste management needs. Our Hittman trucking, Cask fleet, and MHF Logistics units remain fully operational to provide on-going transport.
We are regularly communicating updates both internally and externally and have established a COVID-19 website available to our employees, clients, and suppliers. The link is: http://www.energysolutions.com/covid19-page/.
Although we have more than 500 employees, and so are exempt from adhering to the leave benefits mandated by the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act, we believe the intent behind it mirrors our company’s core values of Health, Safety and Integrity and therefore we have issued a revision to our policies to mirror these benefits for our employees.
We have also limited travel to essential travel within country only and have implemented international travel restrictions. We continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC (Center for Disease Control), the U.S. State Department, and local Departments of Health where our facilities and operations are located.
At all of our facilities and offices we continue to monitor employees. We insist that if they are feeling ill, they stay home and recover to minimize the spread of any type of illness. We are currently unaware of any employees suffering from COVID-19.
Should you need to contact us, please call your Business Development Representative on their mobile device.
We at EnergySolutions wish good health to each of you, your co-workers and all of your families.
