EnergySolutions has the capabilities to fully support the U.K.’s nuclear energy future. The need to clean up Europe’s nuclear legacy, together with the renewed interest in a new build program, is producing opportunities in the nuclear sector. EnergySolutions has designed, constructed, and operated more than 150 pilot plants and test rigs in the U.S. and the U.K. over the last 20 years. These plants have supported the design, commissioning, and operation of facilities that range from small-scale to full-scale. EnergySolutions believes there are a number of business development opportunities in the U.K. and continental Europe which are well matched to our skills and capabilities. EnergySolutions acquired Reactor Sites Management Company (RSMC) from British Energy. We now have the opportunity to participate in the continued safe operation and decommissioning of ten of the U.K.’s Magnox reactor sites on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, which has strategic responsibility for the U.K.’s nuclear legacy. Mark Morant is President of EnergySolutions’ International Group, a position he was named to after joining EnergySolutions as the Managing Director of Reactor Sites Management Company (RSMC).  Mark has more than 20 years of experience in the nuclear industry with expertise in leading large operating contracts.   While at BNFL, Mark oversaw the restructuring of RSMC and Magnox SLC and held senior financial positions.  He has extensive experience leading operations in a licensed environment and proactively improving safety in the workplace.  Mark has held senior positions at Price Waterhouse and Doctus Europe.  He is recognized as a highly visible leader of change with a proven, successful track record of delivering business improvements and value for his customers.  Mark works and lives in the United Kingdom.
